If you found out you were kidnapped at 11, would you wait till you were 29 to tell someone?

I mean even at 11 you know who you are, and for me no one can ever make me forget that nor who my family is. That woman who just showed up may have been abducted when she was young but why would she wait so long to tell the Police?
