Guard dog with a wolfish appererance ?

There is a big dif. between guard dog and watch dog. A trained Guard dog will be trained to attack and restrain on command and will cost you a big chunk of change. If you want to go that way I recommend a German Shepherd Dog or a Giant Schnauzer.
