Why is my car doing this? Mechanic please help!?

The first thing to make sure is known to be good is the ignition system. Even platinum tipped plugs need to be replaced eventually as do spark plug wires. You may have engine oil leaking into the spark plug wells and your distributor cap and rotor need to be replaced every 30,000 miles unless your able to test them to make sure they're good.
