Where's the best place for a hike and a picnic around vancouver area.?

Grouse Mountain is always good. You can take the bus to the foot of the mountain and hike up the cut. Or you can go to Seymour Mountain. Or you can go to Buntzen Lake, near Ioco - nice hike around the lake and good picnic grounds at the lake.
