I made a data disc of music from my old XP pc and now it doesn't play on my new Vista laptop. Any ideas?

I suspect that whatever you created your backup with did not properly close the burning session. This means that Vista is recognizing the remaing space as available to write to. Your best bet would be to re-burn the disk using diffrent authoring software, or altering its settings.
